climate-babel conducts a scoping mission through Eastern Africa for the Global Programme “Risk Assessment and Management for Adaptation to Climate Change (Loss & Damage)” together with GIZ. climate-babel conducts stakeholder interviews and contributes its know-how in climate science and integrated assessments. Based on the climate change adaptation landscape charted by the mission, climate babel makes recommendations for relevant climate change risk assessments and management projects.
2012-2014: Deutsche Gesellschaft für internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ)
The dataclim-Projekt, a cooperation between GIZ and the Indonesian weather service, develops a Climate Change Information System. The system enables ministries and administration to take climate change into account for mid- and long-term planning. Working out of Europe and Indonesia, climate-babel contributes its know-how in data analysis and representation and consults on the technical implementation. The greater climate-babel network facilitates further connections between the project and the scientific community.
